Within the scope of this tender, a solution is sought to ensure comprehensive lifecycle management of digital certificates. This includes the following core functions, among others:
- Inventory: Automated discovery of certificates and host with certificates.
- Updating: Regular, automated updating of the inventory.
- Metadata: Information such as responsibilities, locations of objects, network connectivity, dependencies can be stored and managed in a structured manner.
- Notifications: Expiration dates are recognized, can be communicated in a customer-specific and proactive manner.
- Extensible: The solution must be able to intergate new certification types that are not used today or are not yet known.

Abandonment in accordance with Article 43 paragraph 1 letter a of the PPA. Due to unforeseeable budget cuts and significant changes in the technical environment, the procedure has to be abandoned based on Article 43 paragraph 1 letter a of the PPA. Other goods/services available within the Confederation will be used to the extent necessary and possible to cover needs. Certain problems described in the WTO procedure can currently be addressed satisfactorily with a newly introduced security management solution.
In accordance with Article 56 paragraph 1 of the Public Procurement Act (PPA), a written appeal against this decision can be lodged with the Federal Administrative Court, P.O. Box, 9023 St. Gallen, Switzerland, within 20 days of notification. Any appeal is to be submitted in duplicate and must include what is being sought, the grounds for appeal, evidence and the signature of the person lodging the appeal or his or her representative. A copy of this decision and available evidence must be included.
The provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) on legal holidays do not apply in accordance with Article 56 paragraph 2 of the PPA.
