CGN SA
CGN SA wishes to acquire 1 BMA (mid-size fast ferry) to be delivered by end April 2021, with an option to acquire a second vessel to be delivered by June 2022, in aluminium, for public transport of 700 passengers, about 60 metres in length, with a parallel hybrid (diesel-electric) propulsion system. The design and features of the vessel have been developed by specialist firms which retain copyright. Summary technical specifications are annexed. The full and detailed version, including plans, will be provided to applicants selected for the 2nd round of the procedure, subject to prior signature of an undertaking on confidentiality and protection of copyright.

Zulassungsbedingungen
Groups or associations of companies (consortia) are not admissible. If necessary, the application will be excluded from the procedure.
The first stage selection of applicants* (1st round of the procedure) which is the subject of this call for applications to participate is based on demonstration of the following suitability requirements:
- The applicant can provide evidence of at least 5 years shipbuilding experience with monocoque aluminium vessels at least 45 meters long with hybrid diesel-electric propulsion and capacity for carrying at least 250 passengers;
- The applicant has the competence, organisational capacity, logistics and infrastructure enabling it to construct, transport, assemble the various parts of the vessel in CGN SA’s shipyard in Lausanne (Switzerland) and commission at least one BMA meeting the technical specifications attached in an annex at end April 2021, working with any subcontractors (if appropriate, to be specified in the letter of undertaking);
- The applicant accepts the design and performance requirements specified in the attached technical specifications.
* The term “applicant” means the company responsible for meeting the technical specifications, with or without subcontractors.
Applicants who fail to meet one of these suitability criteria will be eliminated.

Zusätzliche Informationen
Companies whose registered office is in a country which has not ratified the WTO Agreement on Government Procurement may not respond to this call for applications to participate. This also applies to subcontractors and suppliers.
Up to and including the award of contract, neither price of the tender nor the offer will be negotiable.
The client only awards public commissions for services in Switzerland to tenderers who comply with job security
regulations and the conditions of work for employees, and provide equal payment for men and women. Minimum suitability criteria for admission to the procedure have been set.
The Assessment Committee reserves the option, if necessary, to hold meetings with applicants, either on CGN SA’s premises or on their production site.
A challenge to this notice may be lodged with the Cantonal Court “Cour de Droit Administratif et Public” [Administrative and Public Law Section], 15, Av. Eugène-Rambert, 1014 Lausanne, within ten days of its appearance on www.simap.ch.
