Zusammenfassung 916191: VIPS

Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB
SBB plans to bundle together individual recurring operating services. Details of the bundles will be outlined in the operating agreement which will be enclosed with the tender documents. All services are to be rendered in accordance with the ITIL framework and in compliance with ISO 27001 ff and the Swiss Data Protection Act.
SBB expects the following services in addition to the operating and project competencies in the area of IaaS and PaaS:
a) Infrastructure and computing service
The computing service includes both the provisioning of virtualised systems including operating systems (Microsoft Windows and Linux) and the provisioning of dedicated server systems including operating systems (Microsoft Windows and Linux) to various specifications (performance, intended use, SLA, etc.) and their operation. The SAP HANA appliances must also be provided and operated. The supplier must be able to provide operation of the virtual infrastructure, the dedicated systems and SAP HANA appliances up to the level of the operating systems. It must also be prepared to offer and operate SAP systems in the SaaS service model as an option.
The virtualised systems provided should be dynamically scalable and able to be administered and configured by SBB via a platform provided by the supplier. The supplier should also be able to offer SAP HANA instances in the Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI) model as an option.
b) Storage service
The storage service includes the provisioning, operation and backup of storage for the virtualised and dedicated systems and the optional SAP HANA TDI instances with various performance parameters.
c) Application operations
The service application operations include the operation (monitoring, backup, patching, etc.) of the virtual infrastructure, the dedicated systems and SAP HANA appliances up to level of the operating systems and also troubleshooting as part of 2nd level support. SBB will continue to ensure that the applications and databases being operated are adapted as part of its problem management and further development activities.
d) Application PaaS service
The service includes an application platform as a service (PaaS), a runtime environment for development, testing and production environments primarily for specially developed software (applications). This service also includes a development workflow for all phases of the software supply process, including commissioning of the infrastructure, deployments of software artefacts, management of platform services such as NoSQL databases, SQL databases, messaging components, global cache components, Java application runtimes and network and DNS configurations. The service constitutes an abstraction of computer, network and storage resources and offers a web application as a management console, a command line interface (CLI) and an API interface (RESTful) with which all platform services in the “self-service mode” can be administered and commissioned and the entire development workflow can be managed in the “self-service mode”. Functional components such as “self-healing” and “auto-scaling” are also considered part of the PaaS.
